    I don't like any team openly cheating and being recognized as a 'Champion'....

    any team could pay athletes to win championships...

    they should be punished...

    I'd feel the same way if it was any team...but especially the cow college

    Once again why do we care he's gone. That's the past. We are going to stomp them this year and 9/10 moving forward. I'm just tired of other fans making out like AU has to be punished for us. Maybe I'm being a little anal about this, but wishing 4 our rival to get punished (whether its justified or not) rubs me wrong.

    So if this situation were up to you, you'd just let them get away with buying a recruit? Would you feel the same if they continued that kind of behavior or would you want to put a stop to it? The bottom line is *U needs to be put in check. And it's not just their rival wishing they would pay for their crimes. This quote wasn't in the Tuscaloosa News. It's bad enough for the NY Times to be talking about it. There are rules for a reason and if you break those rules, you should have to face the consequences.

    I don't mean to flame, I just don't understand why anyone would want to let bygones be bygones with something this big.

We have only ourselves to blame for the barn's NC last year. And before anyone starts their "moooo" crap, I am a graduate of the University and no one can question my devotion to Bama. I just prefer not to sit and pout about the barn's NC when we blew our chance to keep them from winning it. Cheaters or not, we have no excuse for blowing a 24 point lead at BDS.

    Yea. I don't see how some could argue that it doesn't matter that they cheated because we should have beaten them anyway. Who cares if we should have beaten them in anyway, it doesn't change the notion that they cheated? Obviously they would not have beaten UA and a few other teams for that matter without Cam Newton. If they paid for him of course they should get punished like everybody else. I don't really understand the points here.

    Anyone can say what they want but there are a lot of reasons that I am interested in the Cam investigation.

    It could potentially affect us on the field. If he is found to have cheated and AU faces sanctions, then it will hurt AU's recruiting. This could potentially help us in recruiting. I mean look at what's already happening with Miami and their commits. Some are already bailing out.

    Another reason is because I get so damn tired of hearing AU fans rubbing the NC and SEC in my face. They are so smug about it. If they are stripped of that, I won't rub it in their face but I won't have to hear it either.

    Honestly, if Auburn's success didn't bother me as an Alabama fan, I'd question how much of a fan I really am to begin with. They are our biggest rival.

    Not saying my opinion is right but it is my opinion.

    Whether its justified OR NOT? Are you joking? You still have doubts as to whether it's justified or not? Still think they don't cheat? Think they didn't buy Newton? Among many, many other examples of cheating. And Yes you are more than a little anal on this.

  • Anybody that don't want *U to get reamed for cheating has a very short memory of the way they (and the rest of the SEC) treated us in 2001, and the photo of Tubby in the "One for the Thumb" T-shirt.

    The SEC (Roy Kramer) was complicit by going to the NCAA instead of notifying Bama staff (as per League Rules) of violations.

    That's why I want to see the smug bastards weeping by their trees. Don't like it? TOUGH.
