Really, really interesting Auburn thread!!!

  • I just wish I could read the whole thing. It discusses a seemingly well connected poster that goes by the name of "AU Girl7."

Here's one of the more interesting posts from the thread that I was able to read. This post echos what many posters on this board have said about Trooper. Very interesting indeed.

I played golf with a player who was on the 2010 NC team. I wont say who he is, I'll just say he was the second to last person to touch the ball that season. When asked about Trooper, he gave me the impression he was there to get kids to Auburn. That he rarely coached unless coaching is walking around practice acting like a brother trying to get guys motivated. The point is and I think we all know this, Trooper isnt a coach, hes an agent. His title is as good as the paper its written on. His antics at first were seen as fun but now seem juvenile. Look at the players hes brought in. Awesome. But once they get here, they play by different rules. Hes a buddy, uncle figure. Not a coach. Theres no telling what he promises these boys. And when it doesnt pan out, people start rebelling, Lupers boy is headed to Texas. If I'm recruiting against us, I say look at that kid, coming out of Auburn High and his daddy is the recruiting coordinator and they are 1-4. Why would you want to join that sinking ship. I'm surprised we havent had more secondary violations by now.

I'm sure there is a BOL poster who has access to the entire thread and could provide us more meat.

    Who is AU Girl7?

I admit that many of the posts I have read from her seem to be accurate. Today, she started a thread that was filled with things that, whi

Neil Caudle? Josh Harris? I have to imagine it's one of the two.

Here's a link to an 8-page thread AU girl7 started entitled "If Chizik Stays." I'm assuming this is the thread many are referring to. Unfortunately the thread is blocked for non-subscribers.

    If Chizik stays

I believe Coach Taylor and Coach Thigpen will miraculously find better opportunities elsewhere, Coach Luper was never coming back next year

They're a bunch of geniuses over there. Finally figuring out the truth about Trooper when Bama fans have been saying it on this board for 4 seasons. Hilarious they thought Trooper's antics were fun when they were winning, but now they're losing he's juvenile. You cant spell pathetic without api.

Yup. Sooooooo funny reading that because it sounds exactly like something a typical BOL poster would post. I upvoted it to see what kind of response the post was getting from fellow Auburn posters. I figured it would have been heavily down-voted. To my surprise it was +17.

I would think Auburn's holder on field goals was the second to the last person to hold the ball with the kicker (Wes Byron) being the last. No???

I don't believe the kicker "handled" the ball; he merely kicked it. I'm not certain that constitutes "touching" the ball as stated in the original post. Would the second to last person handling the ball be the center on that team who handled the ball before hiking it to the holder on the field goal, or perhaps the person who carried the ball on the play immediately before the kick was made? I have no idea.

I see your point. So the second to the last person who handled the ball would be the long snapper then I guess. Any clue who that is??? I surely don't.

  • Saw this in a thread titled "Silent Majority..."

"We are now entering the "spiral of silence" phase of this mess where the negatives are dominating the conversation. This causes the positives to assume their opinions are falling out of favor, so they stop posting. Anyone on the fence and watching starts taking their cues from the vocal "majority," assuming this negative take is the consensus. This is how the Nazis took over Germany. I'm not suggesting the critics are Nazis, but simply explaining how a minority takes over the conversation and the society. Most of my professional life has been devoted to the study of public opinion, and now it comes home to my Auburn family. I know what I see."

Reminds me a lot of David Housel a few years back. Only now, they've moved on from calling UA fans Nazis to those in their own fanbase who are trying to tell it like it is.
