Region's Bank

  • So glad my bank (USAA) is an insurance company first, bank second. I'd expect I'd have to get some kind of letter or e-mail to say that the policy is changing regarding any type of fees. Thanks for bringing this stuff up because I had no clue that there was an Act that is causing a tussle about using your debit card or anything like that. RTR.

  • I am a banker at Wells Fargo, every bank has some sort of fees, and every one of them has ways to get around the fees. Basically, as long as you have multiple products, at least with Wells, your fees are waived, with us it is usually 4 products (a combo of checking, savings, online banking, debit card, direct deposit, credit card, online bill pay), as long as you have four and you are putting some money once a month into savings, everything is free.

Just like many on here have said, banks have overhead costs, PLENTY of them. Banks have profit numbers that they put on everything, for us, a checking account is about $50 dollars profit over the life of the account, if we have to get a money counter fixed, it runs us about $250. So we have to open 5 checking accounts just to pay for that counter getting fixed.

Of course you have plenty of people that apparently think banks are government sponsored or something I guess.

BTW, if any of yall have any questions about any business you have with Wells feel free to PM me!!
