As much as I hate it for the once underprivileged high school recruit (who is apparently no longer lacking for moolah), I am hoping the source is correct. I live here in barn country and most of my barn buddies are giddy at the thought that they appear to be untouchable to the NCAA after Cam-gate. They tell me all the time that if they are doing anything illegal "the NCAA will look the other way AGAIN." It's like they are proud of that crew they have leading the cult, whether or not it will result in long term trouble for the program. It's all about today with no consideration of tomorrow.

I recently talked to a former player for AU who graduated last year as a 5th year senior. He has the perfect vantage point since he was there under both Tubs and Chizik. He said while he liked the current coaches as people he did not respect them nor did the rest of the team. Now this is coming from a young man who I know to be a good guy and who I would have loved to played for the good guys (we were after him pretty hard as a HS senior). He also said that Troop and Loop couldn't care less about a recruits character and it showed year around within the program. He described their workouts to be like a "game" and that most guys just "pretended" to work out while Coach Yox was looking and didn't do crap when he wasn't.

BTW I did question his intellectual ability when he started saying how good Kiehl was going to be this year. All in all it was an interesting conversation with a guy who saw the ins and outs of the program for 5 years.
