If he does end up doing what everyone is expecting him to do, don't bash this kid. If he feels better at Auburn that's fine, let him go to Auburn. There is no need for the "I'd rather have _______ anyway" because no, no you wouldn't. This is a very talent linebacker and one of the most polished to come out of high school in a while. I'm so tired of fans doing that. When a player is looking at their school they think he's the best prospect in 10 years, the moment he looks elsewhere he's a scrub or a clown and overrated.
All in all, as much as its gonna suck if this one slips away from us we will be okay and as much as some of you hate it, so will Foster. He's a talented kid, he will be talented no matter where he goes.
Also, why even say anything about him getting mixed in the wrong crowd or that Auburn is "thuggin" right now. It's so unneeded. There was a shooting yes, which most of the football players had little to nothing to do with. They've had some players get arrested, so have we. Let's not act like we haven't had our fair share of trouble either. Maybe not to the extent of theirs this year but we aren't spotless. I truly believe that Foster is a kid that will make good decisions on and off the field. Someone who will not put himself in a bad situation with the possibility of losing his career or life. I really think this kid is smarter than that, and most importantly I think his family raised him better than that and that goes a long long way. You can let down the fans, the coaches, your teammates but the moment you let down your family is when you really feel shame.
All in all, if Foster feels more at home in Auburn then I hope he has a great career there and I will wish him the best of luck (aside from one game every season. The thing I want to see most from him is to just do whatever he will do at this press conference and stick with it. Stay out of the media, don't talk about it and just stick with what decision you've made. If months down the road you feel like flipping then do so but for the next 2-3 months stay quiet and humble. I don't want this to be a constant talk, flipping to Auburn back to Alabama then to Georgia then to Auburn, etc. Just get one place, settle in and focus on rehabbing that leg and having a great senior season. RTR
Has he not made the statement yet? Pardon my French, but how long is going to effing take? I've been looking around here all morning and still no type of statement....they better enjoy it now because this is the last big recruit Chiznik (sp?) will get. He'll be gone in a year or two.....
Some people bring a knife to a gun fight. Mark Richt brings a Super Soaker 2000.
