The reason lacy is the only first round pick, and probably a first rounder at all, is because lattimore went down. RBs are drafted so low now, I doubt two teams need a rb. The only exception could be if lattimore had been a top ten pick, which might have been possible. But unfortunately for him, that high mileage caught up. Why do you think we just signed 4 backs? Because those kids want lattimore's skills, but not his carries.

I've been saying for 2 years that Montee Ball is the most overrated RB/player in college football. 80% of his stats were garbage stats after his team was up by 20+ points.

But...but Barry Sanders's record!

I remember watching the highlight reels of him when he was getting that ridiculous Heisman hype last year. Nearly every touchdown was from a few yards out with about 10 yards of open running room. I could have run for 20 touchdowns behind that line against that schedule. He was nothing but a product of a great offensive line and proved it when his YPC dropped by over a yard this year. The fact that he is getting no interest by NFL scouts tells you everything you need to know. Would have been a non-factor in the SEC.

Lacy is a great fit for a handful of teams....not a great fit for many others. His size and feet combo will work well in a downhill, Denver-type offense. He can pound.
