Love the gloves. Either player names or nothing on the back IMO. We already know which team is Alabama, no point in have it on the back.

They definitely don't look like matte finish to me...you can see all kinds of reflection in the helmet.

Im an old school traditionalist like everyone else, but if Saban wins this game he should incorporate some of his own traditions into the Tide. No problem keeping up with the times.
Just throwing this out and downvotes are ok ... im a big boy.
What if Alabama went with oregon's matte gray helmet with crimson numeral with the white unis in a game next season? I don't know anything behind the scenes, but I like it.

Personally I wouldn't mind a new take on helmet for a game or two as long as it's something subtle like that.

I don't think most folks would have a problem with it Lucky. As long as they're subtle type changes. I wouldn't mind it and I'm sure the players would enjoy it too.

Not a fan of all this, but not gonna bitch about it. Most of us on here have heckled teams that have gone to gimmick uni changes, subtle or not.
But, they are subtle. Not sure why there's the need to do anything at all if they're that subtle, but I'll roll with it!

Same helmets. Alabama players where different helmets and different brands. Those are just the Nike helmets for presentation.

Seemed to me like the ones for Monday night serve a practical purpose of keeping the players cooler in the warm weather. I'm sure it'll be warm. The first thing I thought....they almost look like they'll rip apart fairly easily.

There don't seem to be any noticeable differences from the regular uniforms other than the gloves. The gloves are pretty cool.

I swear, if saban were to have the team wear white helments one game, i think a portion of our fan base would beat their wife and kids due to anger. its amazing how pissed people get about changes.
