South Alabama coach, former Auburn player, Kurt Crain found dead
South Alabama associate head football coach Kurt Crain has died, the Press-Register has learned. The cause of Crain's death was not immediately known.

A real tragedy. He was the sort of player who if he was on the other team you hated, but also the sort of player you would want on your team. I remember a story of him visiting a children's ward after the Iron Bowl, and cheering up a young Auburn supporter by saying how good it felt beating Alabama. Not many aubs I respect, and would want to play for Alabama, but he was definitely one.
