Saw something out of JG last night

  • that IMO might turn this team around. During that run in the second half when we closed the gap with JG, Rele, and Tony on the bench something was goin on with Tony. I know he got hit in the head but that's not what the problem was. One of the assistant coaches was talking to him and Tony looked as though he got pissed off and started flailing his arms and doing what Tony does. Well JG was 2 seats over and he noticed what was happening and gave Tony a pretty good lashing and even pointed towards the court as if to say look we r trying to win this game cut that shit out. About 15 seconds later Tony got up and left the bench for the second time and when he returned the attitude was gone. I think JM may have turned the corner in terms of his leadership role on this team, at least I hope so. Could mean the diff in NCAA and NIT.

I'll be honest. I don't know if I have ever seen Green keep his composure as much as he did last night. There were some really bad calls against him last night. Then the way he was into the game after he fouled out. That is what a leader is supposed to be. He got a big hug from Grant at the end of the game too.

Yep. He finally looked like the senior leader of this team last night in all phases.

I hope your right because without good leadership the team will have trouble finishing 500 in the SEC & IMO leadership has been lacking big time on this team.

Fwiw i heard some 2nd hand info back preseason that Green came back in part because hr knew 5 really needed someone to help keep him in line. I know that is a bit hard to believe since JG had so many self control issues himself so. TIFWIW
