Great. One of my favorite movies just got a downgrade and lost its 5th star.

When I was a kid and watched OJ in Naked Gun I laughed and didnt give it a second thought. Now when I see that movie I see a murderer and the rest of the movie I keep thinking how big a faq up he is and it kinda ruins the movie. Lol like the movie could get any worse.
Truth be known I bet Rudy didnt know what was going on. His background doesnt scream securities fraud. I just feel so bad for Notre Damn having a legend tarnished in this way. Lets all have a big cry about it.

Joe Montana gave a talk for company I worked for several years ago. One night in VIP room, prior to his presentation, he said whole movie was whole of shit. Players avoided Rudy anywhere they saw him on campus and the whole part with players laying down their jerseys was complete bs. There were multiple guys dressed out wearing that number that day. Rudy did make the plays but they carried him off the field as a joke and they stadium was not cheering his name.

Anyone with a brain or any knowledge of ND in that era knows that the RUDY movie was a made for TV feature. In all of its glory, facts, and storyline. Was the movie touching and moving? Yes. Did you come away thinking it was factual? Prolly. Did you do what I did and research his story at ND? Not sure, but I came away with info that screamed how 70% of that movie was fiction. Still doesnt change the fact that they made a great movie that touched people all over the sports world. Fiction can be fun.
One thing was fact. He did play for Parsegian and Dan Devine did come from the Green Bay Packers.

Just saying what Montana said. Pretty sad when an alum l like Montana laughs at movie whose purpose was to make people feel good.... Even worse is sad state of affairs Notre Dame Football is in.....The only thing they can cling to is their contract with NBC and most folks are praying that goes away, Waste of air time on tv when another game could be on
