Sophomore defensive lineman Darrington Sentimore is leaving the University of Alabama and is expected to transfer to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

It's sad that some of these young men (not kids) can't get the "It" to do what it takes to succeed at Alabama or any other D1 program. I wish him nothing but the best.

BTW, as we reported before, all four guys mentioned were suspended indefinitely for discipline issues before they left.

Hate seeing this happen to these guys, but that's the results of poor decisions. They have the world at their finger tips and sometimes can't get it right. Wish these guys the best of luck and hope they get their stuff straightened out.

Sad to hear it. With the destinations of the other people in the doghouse having been announced, I felt every day that passed without this being announced made it more likely he'd stick around, but oh well.

Well that stinks. Its certainly a good thing that Saban isn't going to let anyone be above discipline if they can't follow the rules but I sure do hare we are losing Sentimore. I know a lot of people on here thought he could be a truly great pass rusher.

It is very simple....Follow the rules or play somewhere else. I am very surprised that so many on this board are complaining about this. I think it is a positive that we have a head coach that demands that players do great on the field, off the field, and in the classroom.

I didn't know where, but I knew this was happening. I rarely, if ever, make a negative comment about a player..and this is as far as I'll go..but someone who would be in a position to have a well informed opinion said all along this would be addition by subtraction. I don't think his ability to play football was ever in question, though...

We arent really in a position to judge because we dont know what really happened with these kids that were suspended and urged to transfer. All I know is that we cant lose this many every year or we will be in deep sheet after about 4 years of this. Was this Sentimore's and Malones first offense or had they been in trouble before with Saban? I feel bad for the kids and they do deserve second chances and a judgement by the peer council but if they went to far over the line then thats that. What i do know is that i dont wont to see more than 2 or 3 transfers next year.

I hate to see this kind of player leave but with the way we are stacked it is hard to get back into rotation after a suspension.

Josh Chapman has to be able to rush the passer in some sort of larger capacity now. Hell in Ncaa 12 he's a pass rushing beast, haha
