The biggest problem Auburn had under Chizik is having a coach who doesn't have his own football philosophy. Nick Saban knows exactly what he wants defensively and offensively. He simply just hires a OC and DC to install and run it. The problem Chizik had is the entire approach of his team offensively and defensively had to change as the OC and DC changed. The players that you recruited for a certain system have to learn something different which slows the development process tremendously.
