Site update... please read

BOLers ... tonight the 247Sports tech team will be pushing about 300 new code fixes and updates to the platform. They plan to take the site down for a maintenance window around midnight. Maintenance windows usually last between 2 and 4 hours to get the site back up and running.
I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few bugs with the site in the morning. Our team will do our best to work through whatever minor bugs exists in the early morning hours.
This push has tons of publishing fixes and additions for our staff. We are also pushing coaches player pages and a few other products. Ill go over the list once the products are released.
I appreciate your patience as we work through this push. We are charging ahead to build a great product for you guys and look forward to these upcoming enhancements.
One last tidbit ... we are pushing the backend piece of an "Area 51 like" product that has never been discussed, but I promise you will rave about it and use it all the time. Going to be another game-changer for 247Sports. Once we get the backend pushed tonight, we will take a couple weeks tying in the front end development, ie consumer facing pieces of the product. I can't give any hints, but it is a doozy!

just wondering, but does your team not have a QA or Staging environment to test issues before you roll them out to production?

We have a staging environment and our team does extensive work and testing on stage to catch everything. The message board system is what complicates everything. Also, we just dont have the staff to adequately test everything in stage.

Thank you for the props, but I get way way way too much credit. I have an amazing team of engineers, product designers and editorial staff.
I promise, we are just scratching the surface of what we are building. This has never been intended to be a Rivals 2.0 and that will become more and more apparent in the months to come.
We are setting the stage to build some amazing stuff in 2013.

Last nights game ended around 10:30 (CST for those keeping up (g) and started around 715, so it'll probably be going down right around the end... but so far the first inning has flown by

No worries. I run ecommerce for a large company and we have similar issues. Our QA/staging team is graded after each release and therefore they usually pad testing a couple of days. Needless to say our testing matrix has ballooned because compensation is on the line...
Bottomline: I feel your pain!

Will the mobile site be fixed? Still has the same issues it's always had. Envelope's are sketchy. I can't click on my username to update anything or view my profile. All it ever says is welcome to the end of the Internet. Is Mobile just not that big of a concern? Frankly it was the reason I came here because it was great at the start but for around 2-3 months it's had issue after issue with no long term fix.

The site is still saying it's down for me - if I delete part of the address in the address bar I can go directly to threads, but if I go to "Back to Topics" it says site down? Apparently this isn't the case for everybody?
