Cant figure this out. One place reporting its done and another place reporting that the Stanford coach is the front runner.
Who is reporting the Stanford coach? Everywhere I see says Nuss but not to expect the formal announcement today? AL.com even said that as well. LOL
NCAA College Football news, commentary, scores, stats, standings, audio and video highlights from ESPN.
Doesnt say hes the leader in that article but I cant link the other one because its a pay site.
Who knows. We aren't getting anything else now and most are writing articles that it appears to be Nuss....yet no real official word?
This is kinda like those things that leak out and then end up being wrong? Hope not. I am all NUSS now. (g)
Just seems odd that this is all going very slow as far as his announcment and no real word on anything. Hope is doesnt cost us like it did the JW and GK situation.
I was looking through and it appears that the Stanford info was before ESPN did all the Coach NUSS to Bama write ups fwiw??? They now even have a video blog stating were hiring Coach Nuss? and this was done after the 11ish article you have linked as well? Who knows.
AL.com has one from the last hour or so and it says not to expect a formal announcement today - does not say why but does state that. Again fwiw?
One of the West Coast's best recruiters has been hired away from a Pac-12 rival to complete Steve Sarkisian's football coaching staff.Complete -- or it least it was for a minute. According to multiple reports Monday, offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier is leaving Washington to take the same job with national champion Alabama.
Best part of that article was the following statement:
"Head coach Steve Sarkisian is the primary playcaller, but said earlier this week on KJR radio that he would grant Nussmeier playcalling autonomy if that's what it took to keep him. Obviously, it wasn't enough."
If he was willing to give up playcalling duties to keep Nuss then that says a lot about how much confidence he has in him and how valuable Sark recognizes he is. There is no bigger compliment than that. out of all of the things that I've heard, that comment is the thing that makes me feel the best about Coach Nuss.
