All I know is CC might be a tool but he is at the top of the food chain when it comes to sports radio. He wouldn't stick his neck out unless he had some good info. He doesn't have to take that risk. JMO

I received an interesting text about 10 days ago, and this should be very frightening if you’re a fan of college football, that a major program in this country is going to be outed very soon for major recruiting violations. It is a top 10-12 program. I know what I think it is according to both my sources; I received another tip last night. I went to Vince Doria, who is sort of the journalistic editor at this company. He had heard the exact same thing. We are pursuing this story with vigor. A major publication is about to unseat a major college football power on recruiting violations. I will tell you from my source, it is not — it is not — Auburn. I will leave it at that. It is a major program and a major publication. When we can validate more… I have not been able to validate it nor has this company. We’re both pursuing it.

Its Texas. LSU is the next NCAA victim after Auburn. The AU case and the LSU case may intertwine and take a couple of years to untangle.

HT, you seem pretty sure its Texas.
My question would be what kind of infractions are we talking here? Also why would Texas ever have to break rules to pull in-state kids, which is usually all they get anyway? Just doesn't add up to me.

Its over zealous boosters around a few of the higher profile high school programs over there and how they are pouring money into certain programs pretty much creating a pipeline right to UT. It's kinda ridiculous that they would even try it let alone enact it in such a manner seeing how they don't really need to do things like that. however you got these big hosses with big money that want to feel like they can contribute and then brag about it.

Ahh, I see HT. That makes sense. Stupid for them because they really don't need to cheat to get great player.
