Hey, I agree it may not be cool but it is a business top to bottom across the nation. Shady would be telling him yesterday and then doing nothing to help him land softly somewhere else.

Uncool would be telling him yesterday he would have to wait a year and rehab his knee while he worked at a job The University helped him find in his home town. It isn't jaded or cold to offer a kid 100k in scholly money if he holds up his end of the bargain each year. That means school and football from day one.

The other side of this is, how is the coaching staff putting this kid in a position to be successful? We all assume he is ready to play today but if he needs a year or two what difference is it to his development if he is committed to it on or off campus. Just my opinion.

We are not shady. We do not lie to kids. Just like any other business, if you are a liar and not a man of your word, that gets around to others. We are supremely competitive but it's sad to me to think that several Bama fans buy into message board drivel that we force our lower rated commits out of their offers.

Have some confidence in Coach Saban and our program that we are successful because we do things the right way.
