That was such a horrible loss for South Carolina. The only way they could lose that game was to let Stephen Garcia screw it up... And guess what? He did just that.

Exactly.
He has a horrible point regarding this division stuff. Had he beaten the team that was barely bowl eligible he would have gotten to get beaten in Atlanta.
Much like oklahoma st was better off a a program getting to play a team thy could look good against in the bowl, spurrier is benefitting from not having hi clock cleaned in Atlanta.

How dare you question the great and powerful Spurrier! He is the greatest, tells it like it is, is so dadgum funny, and is the only coach in America who could single-handedly make South Carolina a contender in the east.
I cannot stand him. I don't know why he gets a pass to say whatever he wants. I am really glad he was only seen playing golf at North River, and nothing more. He and Columbia deserve each other.

Yep. And Spurrier totally mismanaged that entire game.
I do think it's funny that he is brining UGA's scheduling advantage up publically.

Oh, UGA's schedule was/is definitely to its advantage. Still, beat a team in your building that was blown out several times on the road (and once at home) and you wouldn't be talking about not counting non-divisional games in the race to Atlanta.

FWIW, I enjoy having Spurrier around; league can always use some characters. More often than not, the guy still makes me laugh. Sorta like that one uncle who's a harmless quack. But don't push for change in league format just because you crapped the bed at home.

"If you don't win your games you shouldn't be playing for it anyway." Or something to that effect.
