TR what would you say LaMichael Fannings role is? Seems like hed factor heavily with his size and athleticism and time in the system. And I'd Xavier Dickson drops to end is he a pass rush guy or every down style end?

Rizz - beat me to it, I know XD is listed as a LB, but I would add him to this group as I think his hand will be on the ground as a rabbit as much as he is standing. IMO

stinson and pagen will be very good this year, definite upgrade IMO. we just need to get a couple reserves to be ready to play

He'll push for the third end spot. I think the four-down will look something like this: DE Stinson, DT Pagan, DT Tomlinson/Fanning, OLB Hubbard (regular nickel and dime). Rabbits: OLB Dickson/Devall, DT Stinson, DT Pagan/Tomlinson, OLB Hubbard.

that looks pretty accurate to me. i always figured, at least coming out of high school, kirven would be ahead of tomlinson, but that does not seem to be the case at this point

He did it some last year, so it would make sense. Also interested to see what Allen brings to the table. I think UA will be fine on the edge.

Keep in mind: UA typically rotates four ends and will play as many as six. So after Pagan and Stinson, you're still looking at two more rotation spots with up to four more getting snaps. So both Tomlinson and Fanning should be expected to be heavily involved, especially with the loss of Pettway.

yep...pettway was playing meaningful snaps last year...would have been even more involved this year IMO, regardless if he was at LB or end

Looks like also depending in guys leaving early that we could be returning most of these same guys for the 2014 season. Now to me that would be great, having these guys playing another year together could cause major problems for our opponents. JMO

I think before the 2013 campaign is over..........R Foster and J Allen will be playing in the "D".........their closing speed on the videos was impressive........I think they will contribute.............thanks, Travis............this is going to be a great series of articles

We don't talk about him much, but my peps tell me the Ball is going to surprise some people. Not trying to say he's going to come in and compete for All-SEC, but keep an eye on him.

Have heard similar things about Ball. Hope Fanning lines up at end. I would think his height puts him at a disadvantage on the inside.
