With all the ends they currently have on the roster, I think Pettway is a guy who could swing. I've got Stinson listed as the next end in, so, yeah, I think he'll play a lot. Same for Dial.

RE-Q.Dial /J.Williams,J.Pagan
Nick-n-dime sets:
LE- E.Stinson,DJ Pettway /C.Bonds
DT-D.Square,U.Billingsly,L.Fanning
DT-J.Williams,Q.Dial,W.Love
RE-A.Hubbard,X.Dickson /R.Anderson*
the keys to 2012 could easily be the quality of play at C, NT, OLB,and CB .

That's reasonable depending on how NT in base works out. I think Stinson is the third end regardless of package.

Thx TR. Interesting indeed on gulledge, I still thought they were holding onto the DL thing with him. Makes a ton of sense to move him to OL and yes he is underrated.

Never saw him as a DL at UA but I could be wrong. Looks more like a future Austin Shepherd than Jesse Williams to me. And that's not a bad thing.

i agree and I wouldnt be suprised to see Ball end up on the O-line as well.

Always knew you were a glass half full guy TR. My worry is if we can't control the nose, it won't matter who is in the nickle or dime packages. In fact that is by far my biggest concern going into this season, well that and hoping Todd Kelly's sister makes the varsity.

We are in Nickel and Dime situations 80 percent of the time anyway. Some games we were never even in a 3 man front except in short yardage situations.

Sorry, should of said 5th DE. I'd think Williams, Dial, Square and Pagan will be ahead of him come the fall.
He is at best our 4th. And Billingsley probably played about as much as he did this past year.

I could be wrong but this should be the biggest DL Bama has ever had. I think Ivory will be a pleasant suprise and the mixture of Pagan, Fanning, and Pettway is awesome.
Saying all that. Square, Stinson, Williams, and Dial would expect to get most of the snaps.
