"He's got a nice little gig going, a little bit like (John) Calipari. He tells guys, 'Hey, three years from now, you're going to be a first-round pick and go.' If he wants to be the greatest coach or one of the greatest coaches in college football, to me, he has to go somewhere besides Alabama and win, because they've always won there at Alabama."

I'd call it a miracle. South Carolina's recruiting base was cannibalized for years by Clemson, Tennessee, Georgia, and others before Spurrier. He has built their recruiting base back from nothing and has made them a 9 to 11 win team year in and out. Something we have never seen in our lifetime. Holtz couldn't do it, Sparky Woods didn't even sniff it. Spurrier's coaching job at USCar is his best despite what his haters say about him. His job at Duke was probably his 2nd best effort.

Make no mistake CSS can't say anything comlementary without it being backhanded. He just can't do it. He has one of those guys that will insult you in a positive way. What he said there was a shot at CNS. CSS cannot stand that his legacy at UF will pale in comparison to the one that CNS will have when he leaves UA.
