Guys, I'm sorry - for about the 10 people who saw otherwise, the thread title should have said "poised to join Eagles." It didn't for about a minute as it reverted to an old headline I had written earlier.
There is nothing official.

We've been chasing this all day, as have all the Eagles writers, and we've confirmed a number of things including that the Eagles really want him and he appears to have an offer. There's nothing official.
But a big reason why this has been so hard to pin down is that the Alabama coaching staff has scattered after NSD.
Two things though:
1) The Eagles have a "rumors" board on their website that includes this.
2) Former Browns coach Pat Shurmur is expected to be named the Eagles' offensive coordinator. That's been in the works since Jan. 20 and there's still been no official announcement.

I'd say coach Pendry will give his usual advice as to who will be the best guy for the job. He's the best ol coach I've seen at bama in a long time. He developed guys the intire time he was a on the field coach. I just think he will be talked to at length about the next ol coach if coach stout leave

Chris, why in your opinion would CJS leave for what appears to be a lateral move and for basically the same money, how does that make any sense? Especially since he's never even coached in the Pro's before, unless that's what his goal is, to coach in the NFL…Thoughts?
