Good stuff. I expect UGA to try and start very fast to set the tempo, get a lead, and build on the adrenaline. If we handle it better than we did aTM, we should be fine and pull away in the 2nd half.

Yep, weather the predictable first-quarter "Pep Rally" UGA will throw for itself and then it will become about execution. Alabama is the more complete team, but it's not so good that it can afford a poor start.

Sorry if this gets long and nostalgic. My dysfunctional football world.......
- grew up in a Georgia town right on the state line so had many friends and relatives who pulled for UA and UGA. I loved the Tide early on. Left in 1977 for college and never returned.
- Father was a huge Braves/Tech fan. As long as I live I will never forget being 12 and going to Grant Field for a Tech game. Sat close enough to the student section to hear the continuous cheer... "What comes out of a Chinaman's arse? Rice, Rice Rice!" Atlanta Fulton County Stadium was my playground when no one else cared about the Braves.
- My brother was recruited by Shug Jordan. Remember the trip to Auburn well and he remains an AU fan to this day.
- Married an AU girl. Twice.
- Sent 3 kids to UA. #4 wants to go to AU damnit.
- These past 2 weeks mean a lot in my world. Bama 31 UGA 13

Terrific piece Travis. Georgia fans seem to follow the lead of their players with the over confidence issue. I haven't seen a more arrogant bunch that hasn't done anything in the college football world in my life. I thought Notre Dame fans were bad but this group takes the cake.
