The best defenses that UNC has played are Kentucky, FSU, Wisconsin, Michigan State and Virginia. The results were:
UK 72-73 Loss
MSU 75-67 Win
Wisc 60-57 Win
FSU 57-90 Loss
UVA 70-52 Win
UVA 54-51 Win
FSU 82-85 Loss
We can keep them in the 60's/low 70's. If we play our typical style of defense, Green doesn't get in foul trouble, and hit more than our average of threes then we can win.

Come on Jeff, I'm a huge Bama fan, but UNC is going to beat our ass up and down that court. If we had a pretty good shooting team, then maybe, but don't be foolish, go with the Tarhills dude.

I had Bama in the Sweet Sixteen in 2004. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy for picking Bama over Stanford. The Cuse game blew my mind and completely shocked me, but anyway.
Alabama's capable of knocking off anyone if they knock down some 3's. If UK had missed a couple of free throws, we may have won at Rupp.
It's a risky move to have Bama in the Sweet 16, but it's not outlandish. We play some of the best defense in the field and you never know when a Rodney Cooper or Trevor Lacey will go off for 20+ points and be the difference in a loss and an upset.

Yea that was really the first year I was in a bracket challenge. I couldn't believe that I picked Bama and UAB to go as far as they did. Also picked UConn to win it all. The problem was the other 2 regions of my bracket got absolutely murdered. No way did I have Ga. Tech playing past the sweet 16 that year and they made it to the title game.

Fans will get excited if they win the first game but you cannot expect them to get all hyped up with the schizophrenic nature of this years team. Someone please explain to me how Releford can shoot 85% from the free throw stripe and drop off about 60 percentage points when he steps back three feet?

I obviously will not say we should beat UNC, but I totally agree with you that if we do make shots it can happen slowing the game down. Some people on here do not know much about the game of basketball. I am sure they were the same ones saying there is no way Kansas could lose to Northern Iowa and VCU the past two years as the overall number 1. It's March Madness guys just be ready for anything!!
