Team Curfew?

  • Not trying to start up another thread about the crimes but since the assaults took place after midnight, when is team curfew or is there one? You would think that someone would know if players are not in their rooms by a certain time. Are there any other unsolved campus assaults on record? Seems like this isnt "One Time" behavior. Who knows maybe EW got a hold of some synthetic marijuana or bath salts and just went nuts. If they werent so stupid as to use the ACT card could they have gotten away with this? Both of the victims were rendered unconscitious so unless there was a witness nobody would know the description or identity of the assailants. Its hard to believe that these guys go after someone and beat them up and rob them and then decide..."That sure was fun...lets get that guy too!" For What? For Kicks? It doesnt appear to be money motivated. It just goes to show you that nothing good can happen to you after 10pm.

  • I don't think they have a curfew in the offseason or non game nights. I don't think they should either. These kids are in college and A). Can make the decision themselves B) Shouldn't have to have one and be able to have fun (unless it's game night). I don't know what time this happened and I thought the saying was nothing good happens after midnight?

  • The report said the first assault was about 12:30am and the second was like 1:20am. I wonder if any more restrictions will come as a result of this?

  • I know Saban will do the right thing, but I hope it includes input from the team's Leadership Council for any changes that MAY be implemented going forward. I think it's a case of a few "rotten apples" that need to be shown the door and let the Process continue as it has.

    I would hate for the actions of a few punks to end up costing the young men that know how to act on their own some freedom while in college.

    Might I add how silly it is to suggest there be a team curfew after three guys commit a violent felony. As if a team curfew would deter someone who thinks it's a solid idea to beat someone unconcious and steal their laptop/ACT card.

    yep. just knee jerk silliness. Kinda like American politics and the medical field. Treat the symptom, not the root cause.

    I'm not sure what you did for Valentine's or Mardi Gras, but I've had a lot of good things happen after midnight recently.

    I've had plenty of good things happen after midnight to 5 am. I was correcting his saying. My dad used to tell me that quote all the time.
