The 5-foot-11.5, 178-pound versatile defender attended the LSU spring game on Saturday (spoke at length will Les Miles, and has been offered), and the Texas spring game today. The Longhorns didn't offer today, and reiterated they plan to evaluate Smit hfurther in spring practice in May.
A trip to Arkansas is also likely before the end of the school year.
Smith is wide open at this point, but he has said very positive things about Alabama since Nick Saban called t ooffer a few weeks ago.
