I really like what you wrote and I agree. As you said, if the NCAA publicly dismembers the AU program, destroys the Lowder machine so that they struggle to make a bowl game, I think everyone will be happy.

However, the above senario is not something we need to happen. This is something that MUST happen to get them back to where they belong and put Bama firmly back in the no.1 spot in this state. As much as we don't like to face it, AU has made considerable stride in their efforts. Here are a few examples:
1. There has been a HUGE jump in AU fans since the 70's
2. They now have control of most media outlets in this state that gives them positive spin
3. The won the NC last year
4. They have one of the hottest OC in the country
5. Recruiting for them is going great and they get their share

I could go on but you get the point. I hate AU but, cheating or not, Lowders plan is making progress that you have to take notice of.

I am SOOOO jealous of Tenn and the fact that they ARE the undisputed team in that state. That is what I want for Alabama, ONE team in this state that people get behind and support. ......I will not be happy unless the AU program gets the death penalty and is banned from the SEC but I would settle for just severe NCAA probation.

I agree AU is a problem, but I also agree letting them see us upset about the whole thing brings them unspeakable joy. I think we have to move on from last year and if the NCAA gets them, great. If not, punish them in November.
