I just wanted to listen to a Local station on national championship coverage. After that comment and his comments on pulling Jenkins as well I turned it off. That was prob the last time I will ever listen. Also to give his Barner spin he said the barn may be 14 spots back on espn rankings doesn't mean anything because if you look at the points they are only .02 points behind us. It just drives me nuts, all barn media people are such spin machines, everything, and I mean everything that comes out of their mouth's is a LIE! How Rivals, 247, and any other outlet allows their lies and complete slandering of us to go on it beyond me.

Good for you man. Nice work. If only we could get the rest of BAMA nation on board!

  • could y'all imagine trying to run one of the barn sites? They're just trying to keep their head above water. My brother is a barner and tells me all the time how they get fed up with their sites, then the sites make outlandinsh projections, accusations, etc just to keep interest, then all those fall through and the subscribers get pissed.

Especially on TOS, people love TMB and has been the reason JLee hasn't lost a bunch of subscriptions. Now they are starting to leave his site and sign up through somewhere else just to use TMB and not give the ginger their money...hillarious

  • I was trolling the other day. A poster asked Phil why AU didn't get active to get early commits like Bama & others. His reply was: "That's not Chiz & his staffs style." & likely won't start changing his style any time soon." To me that says. Hey we're lazy as censored! & will take our chances at stealing some kids down the road. How did that work out last year Chiz? bol14

  • I agree with the University of Auburn fans. CGC is doing a fantastic job with recruiting. He is such a great coach with high moral principles and he needs to be given a contract extension for his contuinued success in keeping up with or dare I say, out recruiting CNS. Sign him up for another 20 years. As Bama fans, we should not be trashing but praising CGC.

  • I love how he uses a 30-year frame of reference.

Convenient that his era of relativity just happens to begin the year they broke a 9-year losing streak to us and began a period where they won 6 of 8. Why not 35 years? Why not 40? Why not 20 or 25 years? Why 30?

Oh...another note. In their 30-year "ownership" of us, the greatest era they've ever had against us, they lead the series 17-13. So essentially they're two years better, because any two-game swing would even it at 15-15.

Oh, and we have 3 national titles to their 1 during that stretch. Keep in mind, this is their best 30 year period ever.

  • My position is that the historical significance of the past 20-40 years is only significant in selling or the actual tradition of a school.

Times have completely changed over the past decade. College sports is big money business -- like it or not that is what it has become. The teams that own recruiting will compete for it all. We've seen that with Fla, USC, Texas, LSU and Alabama over the past decade and we will see it more over the next 5 to 10 years. It is essentially an arms race.

I believe strongly that all the recruiting services are better than ever at evaluating players and I also believe that it takes the elite difference makers (kids of the Top247) to win BCS titles. I also believe that with the great programs -- that have solid coaches, big budgets and great facilities -- the teams that WIN on the first Wednesday in February will figure into the BCS title chase in Dec/Jan.

With all that said ... Alabama is recruiting at the highest level right now. They are what USC and Texas was a few years back. Contrary to what any media members believe, as long as the Tide is finishing in the top 1 to 3 of the service recruiting rankings -- in this day and age -- they will compete for SEC and BCS titles. This isn't going to last forever -- just ask Texas -- but it is the deal right now. Enjoy it Tide fans and stay humble.
