I live in the Denver area and had the chance to see Miles play a couple of times this year... While the level of competition is not what you are going to see ANYWHERE down south, this would be a good pickup for Alabama...
I've always gone Winston in every player x or Winston discussion but I no longer feel that way. His desire to play baseball during the Springs is too big of a distraction.
He has a ton of ability but needs serious work on his mechanics to be the player we all think he can be. He is not going to give up baseball so those mechanics issue aren't going to resolve themselves.
I think he might try to play both sports at FSU but I doubt he ever has the success that he should in football. He will be inconsistent and probably resort to bad mechanics whenever he is in clutch situations. At FSU him putting up big numbers in easy games and folding in 1 or 2 big games every year might be good enough but at Alabama that's just not going to get it done.
Miles and Morris are committed to football and have a passion for improving their mechanics. That is the sign of players that want to do what it takes to be their best when it matters most. Those are the kinds of players that can handle the pressure of playing QB at Alabama.
