That's like picking between children. If I had to say, I'd say 1 by a hair. In 2 I always get anxious to get back to the "old" story when it builds up to where you know Vito is gonna take out that local mob head but then cuts to the "new" story -- it takes forever to get back to it.

Man I sure do love both. I'm a HUGE movie nerd and the Godfather 1 & 2 are at the very top for me. As you can tell by my sig, the 2nd one might do it for me... I just really dig the parallel storyline that shows Robert De Niro as the young Vito and his climb to power.

for me its 1A. Godfather 1B. Godfather 2. You cant go wrong with either one. Godfather 3 was never made and it is dead to me kind of like rocky 5.

Love it also when vito tells Sonny , "never let someone outside the family know what you're thinking"
