Short term Meyer will be a good fit for them but if that's his coaching mentality OSU will be in more trouble down the road.

While I believe that Meyer probably lost control of some of his more immature players, I'm not exactly going to take Rainey's word for anything. Let's just wait for the UF writer to tell us what a great kid he is....

Urban Meyer is the most overrated coach in America. 2 national championships in 4 years when he had one of the greatest players of all time on his team. Two years without tebow he won 8 and 9 games and got his ass handed to him quite a few times (about 5 20+ losses) Kinda reminds me a lot of cheesehead. With a one man team he won it all. Every other year has been right around the 8 win mark

Yikes.

The same type of thing is going on at UT right now. The reason the WR coach retired is because Rogers attacked him & Dooley wouldn't do anything about it & he is not the only player with that mentality. I'm glad Urban is at OSU because I hate OSU & they already think they are better than everyone else so this thing could blow big.

So he's saying the exact same things then? The article said he changed his story. Which is it?

It was Matt Hayes with the Sporting News that put out the article last week. Gonzales said in that article that the incident was being overblown, and now he says it didn't happen. Yeah, I'd say that's a little disingenuous. Strange situation all around.

I'm no Meyer fan, but that article was really slanted. I believe it's all true, but the writer would have been better off letting his facts speak for themselves. Sounds like the author could be a former Gator, Nole, or current Mich fan.
