Problem has been roster turnover since 2006. CMG killed our scholarship numbers by running off incredible talents like Al Webber, Glenn Miles, Rico Pickett, etc. Then the guys he left were mentally frail. Green was always weak minded. Mitchell loafed once he gained notoriety. Guys like Yamene Coleman and Justin Knox were runoff because they lacked the toughness to exist in Grant's system.

Grant was then playing with bad numbers. I think he then suffered from guys like Jason Carter transferring which makes Grant timid to pick up guys that aren't willing to buy in 100%. Thats why he made a statement like the one he made saying he wasn't just going to spend scholarships to spend them. I think he did early on with guys like Eblen, Engstrom, Carter, and Gueye. The guys we've got coming in next year will truly help. You throw in the fact that we return everyone except Andrew Steele and next year should be a Sweet 16 potential team.

For everyone that says our offense is terrible. Watch UF. They run THE EXACT SAME STUFF we run. The difference is UF is a premier program capable of landing anyone. They also always have a long lanky shooter (this year its Murphy, before that it was Parsons) and a quick PG. We have the quick PG but so far we've missed on the long shooter. The 2014 and 2015 classes look like they'll solve that. Especially if we land that Norris kid. Look at some of the recruiting stories that have come out lately. We're in on many premier players. If Grant can land 2 or 3 of these guys, get them to buy in to the defensive style we play, hopefully get some consistent lineups (we've used like 16 different combos each of the last 3 years), and land the elite shooter we need we're right there. Its painful how close we are. Do we really want to go through a transition and possibly end up with someone as bad as what MSU or Georgia has?
