  • Two girls were allegedly raped by football players and other players intimidated them about testifying to the extent one committed suicide. The school refused to release the names of the accused and the entire story has been covered up. An article was written by a lady for the Washington Post on why she would not pull for Notre Dame and she was a graduate.

    Ok, imma be nice and ask nicely to stop bringing Catholic Church and religion in these threads. It ruins the whole thread. It has nothing to do with it. Posters go nuts and start quoting bible verses and victim choir boys at the mere mention of Catholic Church chatter. The threads get bombarded with religion talk when this happens and you can't have logical discussions when religion is involved. Not bashing you bro, just a small request, that's all.

    I think the whole point is hypocrisy, not religion. It just happens to involve a group that hides behind it. Had it been a political group, a club with a creed, the NRA, etc. then it'd be the same arguement. I agree that some arguments, along with quoting bible verses should not be posted but at the same time, many religious groups are successful at cover ups because they push the mindset that you posted. "It's religion related, so lets not discuss it or dig deeper." Do you think it'd be better if people just said "religion" instead of singling out a specific type or should we just avoid the topic all together like Notre Dame would like us to?
