Noting that Chiz has lost by 24 points four times in the past 7 games, I perused our history to see how far back you have to go to find four 24 point losses. It takes 14 YEARS. The games:
vs lsu - lost 27-3 - November 13, 2003
vs arky - lost 42-6 - September 26, 1998
vs va tech - lost 38-7 - December 29, 1998
vs lsu - lost 27-0 - November 8, 1997Obviously the during the 2010 Scamgate season there were no losses. In 2009, Chiz lost by 21 to LSU, so he has 5 losses by three touchdowns or more in his three seasons. By contrast, Bama coaches' losses by three touchdowns or more:
Saban - it's never happened - biggest margin of defeat at Bama is by 14 points (has happened twice)
Shula - happened once - by 24 to LSU, so Chiz's CLOSEST blowout this year equaled Shula's worst game
Price - never happened - but let's disregard that one
Franchione - never happened - worst loss was by 14
Dubose - happened four times - IN FOUR YEARS - Chiz's boys have has gotten plastered as many times in the past seven games as Dubose's did in four years
Stallings - happened twice
Curry - happened once
Perkins - never happened
Bryant - five times - Chiz's getting blown out in the last seven games nearly matched what happened to us during several DECADES under Bryant
Ears Whitworth - happened eleven times - so there you go - turn the clock back 55 years and you can get some perspective on the last seven games on the plains

I posted last week that we've beaten AU by more than 10pts 15 times in 50 years. That's 30% of the time. AU on the other hand has only beaten us by more than 10 points 3 times in the last 50 years. That's 6%. More like an aberration.
