He needs to be sat down. Let the freshmen and Green carry this team.

Freshmen? Yes. JG? He's never really shown any leadership, IMO.

  • We can kiss the NCAA goodbye...we will be lucky to make the NIT now. We are completely lost on offense. Time to re-evaluate the program after this year.

Green has played through injuries this year and has shown up when we have needed him except for the Vandy game.

I agree he is not a vocal leader and that is something this team needs, but he is not the problem either. I don't like to complain about players by name, but you will never see the problem pass the ball that's for sure.

I wouldn't go that far. We will have to make a run to make the tournament this year now, but it is doable. No need for re-evaluation. Future core looks good the next couple of years with Releford, Lacey, Jacobs, and Randolph. We just need to loose the cancer.

Green is as far from a leader as I've ever seen. He's a solid player w/ a lot of potential, but how many times does he have to show his ass and pathetic attitude before he gets the boot? I hope Grant kicks both of them off the team yesterday. Easily my 2 least favorite bball players in recent memory.

  • Green has always responded well to suspensions in the past. I agree, he's not much of a leader, but not everybody is cut out to be a leader. Granted, we NEED him to be the leader he just may not be capable of being.

I say suspend him, bench him for a few games, whatever, see how he responds. The other one, just seems to be a problem period right now. No idea why he seems so immature. May just need to get him off the floor as much as possible before he completely puts the season in the tank.

  • Green does his fair shair of pouting and it does get frustrating to watch as he start pressing and forcing things and picking up silly fouls, but I don't see evidence of JG not playing his butt off or not being a team player. He makes dumb decisions sometimes, but I don't question his want to win.

Can you not see his attitude problem? Pretty evident to me...

    This is correct.

There's no margin for error left. Not saying we absolutely have to win out, but anything less than 10-6 as a final conf. record (with the games we have left) will leave us squarely on the bubble. 9-7 might get us in. 8-8, and we're in trouble.

The sad part is, we'd have to go 6-4 from here on just to finish .500, and with the way we're playing, I'm not totally confident we can do that. Last night was the easiest game we'll have from here on out and we played like total dogs***.

The bright side is, we've got half our road games behind us. Need to hold serve at home and try to steal one at Auburn, Arky, or OM.

I see JG's frustration being more from results and the fact that he hasn't been healthy much this season. TM's is the problem. He is mad he isn't THE star.

TM is explosive but he does not have a quick first step to help create his own shot. When he gets out of playing a team game, he is very average. Reminds me of when Pippen went to the Blazers.

I do see the attitude problems, but I just think that JaMychal is manageable. If he can focus on trying to contain his frustration and turn it into hustle, which he has shown the ability to do. Now he slips sometimes and start pouting and making stupid plays in the post or turning the ball over or picking up stupid fouls. But I have seen him go out of his way to high five other players on the team at times this year and I do think he loves to win and I think he's a team player in his mind. He needs to realize that his pouting and stupid plays out of frustration hurt the team. But I think he loves this team and generally plays really hard.

  • I agree whole heartedly with most of these posts. I've been saying for weeks how terrible the attitudes of TM and JG are and now its costing this team. They b**ch and moan any time a foul is called or not called and let it have a factor in how they play the rest of the game. I just hope and pray these cancer cells don't infect the rest of the team, especially the young impressionable freshman that have so much talent.

Now nobody wants to lose but I'm of the opinion that they need to be made bench players. Give the future of the team the chance to develop the chemistry needed to be a winning team. If they can handle that then slowly let their playing time increase. If they can't then get their a**es out of here.

I'm as pissed off at CAG as anybody but i'm not gonna say fire the guy just yet. No, he doesn't have any form of offense and doesn't seem too interested in developing one either but i want to see if he can bring in an assisstant and let that person handle the offense. Grant is obviously a good defensive coach but i would be extremely suprised that the team actually practices with a damn ball let alone takes shots with one during practice. As one other poster mentioned before we have no off ball movement what so ever (off ball screens, pick and roll, high post flash) or any dribble drives or drive and kicks. Need to atleast try to get open, make some shots, and turn this thing around.
