one of the dads on my son's 8 yr old baseball team (we are both coaches) have had a few discussions. I tried to be a non bashing Bama fan and asked the good questions, like what do you think the line will be like and how well is DRob doing, etc... you know, to be conversational and not all in his face - cause I don't thin they have a chance. in every opener like this, Saban has the boys fired up and ready to go - I see this as being no different. he's out to prove a National Championship team can come back and dominate.

we had some very civil discussions, but one day he actually started talking smack - guess he had been reading the delusional posts and I simply stated, "i'm not sure, but i think everyone on Bama's defense is as fast or faster than DRob (minus the D-Linemen)" and he quit talking. Now, whether that's true or not, doesn't matter, the point was made and made well.

I then followed that up with, "is your 2nd/3rd string QB getting enough reps, you don't' want this to get nasty when DRob can't play in the 3rd Qtr" Remember Florida, Michigan St, oh, and there are a few more, but i forget the list. " :)

We may have lost our best individual pass rusher (Upshaw) but I expect our pass rushing ability as a unit to be the best it has been since Saban's arrival.
