Thoughts on Lattimore

I was curios so I did some math -

Lattimore has combined so far this season:

    87 Attempts
    534 Yards
    7 TDs

Trent & EL have combined so far this season for:

    78 Attempts
    619 Yards
    11 TDs

At first glance the Bama homer in me says, "HA! Trent and Lacy are better than Lattimore!" But the more I think about it, it is pretty impressive that he has done almost as well as two of our backs, all by himself. It also does show just how much of a load he is carrying this season, and as the games get more and more important, it seems likely that his carries will increase even more.

That being said, Trent and EL are better than Lattimore! rockon

Yes. He is almost as productive as both our backs! He's a really good Back. The good thing about our situation...we are continuously prepping next years Beast. Who will be SC's next rung back...we don't know. We only see ML.

  • Glad he isn't in the West.

    Hope he leaves early.

Hope he has been staying at the Hotel mentioned in the report today.

Lacy averaging over 10 yards a carry helps.....

    Nice stats!

  • IMO...Coach Visor is running that great player into the ground. The kid only has so many carries in him. Unfortunately they are mortgaging a big part of his pro career. I loved how our staff handled Mark and our running backs now.

  • No doubt that Lattimore is a great RB....no doubt!

But, Spurrier is going to run him into the ground if he keeps this pace up.

This is the SEC, and there is no way he is going to be able to handle that type of workload for long.

Yeah, it's the SEC, but let's remember who it really is if you're USCe.

    Vandy.
    Kentucky.
    Auburn.
    Tennessee.

    And they've already played UGA.

Carrying the ball 30 times a game against those teams will be like a walk in the park for Lattimore. Some of you guys act like he's about as injury prone as Chipper Jones.

  • I agree with airharper here. He's not gonna face many more top defense's the rest of the way. He'll probably be chewing gum against the barn after the 1st half.
