Tide Pride wait

  • As of two days ago: Numbers might be ever-so-slightly off.

$5,000 to surpass Tide Pride Waiting List - this puts you at the top of the stadium.
$2,500 to add 2 seats (current tide pride members), which will not be side by side
$7,000 to go from upper level to lower level
$7,000 to go from upper east to upper west
$25,000 EACH for Zone tickets...High Demand

    Upgrades aren't immediately guaranteed.

For those who just got in Tide Pride. If you requested 4 but only got 2, you're probably never going to get your other 2 unless you donate. They are trying to get as many people on the waiting list in the stadium as they can.

This same scheme, at a lower price, will probably happen next year for basketball.
Just call the Crimson Tide Foundation. They are very very helpful.

    Hope this helps.

  • Been on list since April 2007. Donated over $5,000 so far and haven't heard a word.

Thank God my fiancee has OG parents who have had 4 season ticket since the 80s...inheriting those babies one day smoke

Inheriting the tickets will be clutch,..

Hate to burst your bubble a little bit, but the tickets will go to your name and they will clear your tide totals points for transferring.

Happened to a buddy of mine this year. Will put you to back of list for away games, championship tickets, bowl tickets

  • As I understand it they are not transferrable as someone else pointed out. Meaning that as of about 5-10 years ago they offered fans to transfer to family for the last time. My mom failed to do so. They are in her name so I will not get them when she dies.

If someone in the know has other information by all means share but I don't think anyone will be inheriting anything.

    Very likely the situation.

I know they transferred, were told it will be last transfer, kept tickets, lost points.

  • God forbid they give points for being an alumnus. I only invested a $hit ton of money as an out of state student.

  • So how do you actually go about donating money to Tide Pride? Is there a form available on rolltide.com? TIA for the help.

Hmm. So her parents can't transfer the tickets to her name at all?

I mean I have no problem donating money to the program to move up, but can anybody confirm that this is the case?

Looks like somebody's contemplating that engagement now... biggrin

I have no idea. I've heard that you can't will them down anymore. I thought you could still transfer them (1 time only) and lose all points. I think the idea is to prevent a situation like the GB Packers where season tickets are unobtainable and the only hope you have is marrying someone whose family has tickets.

  • So I called about this issue. The waters are no clearer now than they were five minutes ago and in fact may actually be muddier.

Apparently there is no set rules of bequeathing (look it up) tickets to children. Currently you cannot bequeath tickets due to availability but in the future this policy may change. I am not sure what this means but we need CRIMSONLAWYER to weigh in on the matter because I believe it could have something to do with property rights. But currently I believe it just has to do with the fact that the team is so good demand is through the roof, but they expect demand to fall down the road as all teams ebb and flow with time.

But I am sure someone will sue over the matter (thus the property rights comment).

  • I really don't see why they would care if they are bequeathed...they are making their money regardless, who cares about the audience?

^ This. Any other policy is a little socialist ain't it?

  • Occupy Tide Pride, it seems to be the trend these days but be sure to start a riot days later to legitimize your position.

  • My dad and I share the same middle name. His are in his middle name. At some point I'll just start paying for them. If something happens to him I'll still keep paying for them.

  • I started on the waiting list in December of 2006 and last season was my first season with tickets. I called the Crimson Tide Foundation a few months prior to the season and asked what I had to do to get tickets besides wait and they said I could pledge a donation and pay it over time to amass more Tide Totals points, so I did that.

IMO the policy is the opposite of socialist and is designed to make the most money. Say your dad had tickets back in 1980, and has paid his donation of tickets from that day to this day. Everybody in his "donor level" pays the same donation. So they're making money, and that's fine. If he can just pass them down to you , then you just keep paying the same that everyone else pays. The school makes money, but not as much as they could make.

However, if the policy is that the tickets can't be bequeathed, and there is a demand for tickets (like there is now) such that you must make a donation of several thousands of dollars just to have the OPPORTUNITY to purchase season tickets, then the school makes more money (a LOT more) than they would if you could just pass the tickets down. Pretty slick idea on their part, and they take advantage of the huge demand for the tickets and capitalize on the market that is created by that demand. All those economics terms don't sound socialist to me. (j.k)
