  • FYI, we'll update if we get anything more -- although I get the feeling a lot of you won't care either way.

  • Is it just me or does it seem like the team hasn't gotten over the tough home heartbreaker to Georgetown?

  • I will care when we start moving around and playing basketball! Not backyard(lets just walk around and not penetrate)bball. Tony, hustle! and draw fouls, quit committing them!

  • We've got a bit of a "tude" problem that started before cag got here and has continued with some of those who remain from that regime, it's clear to see for anyone paying attention at all.

  • I haven't given up on this team yet, but it's going to ge a long season if we don't get it turned around. Somebody has to step up and be a real leader from this team.

Some of us actually care about the basketball team just as much as the football team, I guess that might be hard to comprehend but yes we do exist.

  • Who cares, gotta win on a consistent basis to keep the general fan interested in Bball. CAG's teams haven't. As good as his defense is his offense is just as bad. Barely any set plays, the ones that they do have don't work and quickly the possession turns to a passing around the arch contest. We look silly and I've already lost excitement/interest. Not saying I will not support the team, just that I'm no where near as invested or interested as I would've hoped.

He was saying it that way because the team didn't show up last and they played horrible...come on bro.

  • So freaking PREDICTABLE. We will never be good at basketball. I am over it. Don't know why I kid myself trying to get interested. Very, very hard to watch.

  • I am very disappointed so far with the team this year but there is still plenty of time to turn around and have a great year. With a offense as bad as ours though I really do not see us being much better than last years team.

I agree, the passing ball around the arch is frustrating. How about making and entry pass to the post. Absolutely NO reason JaMychal shouldn't touch the ball at least every other trip down the floor. They feed him in spurts and he produces. I think if they would attempt to get him the ball consistently through out the game it would open up more open looks from the arch, maybe then someone will hit more than 24% from 3pt land. I'm tired of watch the shot clock run down and our guards having to force penetration/shots to avoid shot clock violations. And someone please start knocking down shots with a hand in their face.

I have my priorities messed up. Roll Damn Tide!!!

  • Simple as this, until we get some guys that will/can score on the perimeter or from the perimeter, this team can only go so far. Also, K State was so big they could guard J Green one on one and that kills T Mitchell's game. While Mitchell is a great athlete, he is not what you would call a polished basketball player. His game depends on things in the game going a certain way. While most games he is able to be productive, games against big teams that are a good basketball team, he is going to sputter.

If these freshmen do not have the ability to open up the outside scoring for Bama this year, it is going to be a long year. This team will win basketball games, but Bama is not blessed with a lot of quality inside players to not get help from the perimeter. Last night K State was better than Alabama, pure and simple.

Also, this is not CAG's fault. At some point, the players have got to make some plays and some shots. We also need some bigs to get here in the worst way and be productive.
