  • Humbling loss for our guys on the road. Dayton played with fire, hope to see us bounce back against Detroit.

As much as i love CAG as an overall coach and on D, i am really struggling to understand why he is continually allowing us to languish on offense. The GT game and even last night show that he has the ability to make the adjustments but why wait and allow us to waste first half possessions? Imo those things can be easily fixed during a timeout. 2 possessions of pointless passes around the perimeter and a forced 3 at the buzzer should. = a timeout. Mandate that's they at least attempt an interior pass. I can live with an occasional inside-out 3 but at this point I'd prefer a turnover forcing it down low than a jacked up 3.
Releford needs to get more aggressive with the ball. Attack the gaps. Drive and dish. An empty. stat line fron your all-SEC

It's basketball. You can't win them all. Our team has 4 true freshmen that play significant minutes, only one junior that plays significant minutes, and only one senior on the roster period. This is a tough loss but they should bounce back. It killed bama losing Green to foul trouble early in the first half. He has to become more disciplined. Bama doesn't have enough depth in the front court to have him sitting on the bench so much.

This team still has tons of potential and I'm just hoping they learn from the loss and improve.

I agree with the majority of your post but I really don't see how you say you'd prefer a turnover as opposed to a shot that could earn points. They do need to work it inside and take better shots but turnovers don't help a thing.

  • Bama really needs Gueye for SEC play...

    Definitely. That would be huge.

I agree with you 100%. that comment was hyperbole. Trying to make the point that it would be refreshing to at least know that the players recognize that entry passes are a more effective means to attack a zone rather than shooting over it at the end if every possession

untill we get a McDyess/Horry type player , a true fly-swatting Center or both to pair with Green & company we are going to continue to experience bumps in the road.
