I reviewed a list of the top 50 NFL running backs or rushers of all time
and it appears that about 40% are 6'0" and over 220 lbs. 20% are over 6'2" and over 230 lbs. In regards to weight, regardless of height, about 50% are 230 lbs and over. Eg. Jerome Bettis, Jamal Lewis, etc.

I would also say, keep in mind the average size of the NFL player has increased dramatically. For example, Eric Dickerson was bigger than a lot of LB's in his day. OL weighed an average of 50-60 lbs less as well in their respective NFL generations.

The list of 6' over 220 lbs (give or take) is as follows:
Eric Dickerson, Bo Jackson, Marcus Allen, Herschel Walker, Steven Jackson, Eddie George, John Riggins, Franco Harris, Larry Csonka (FB), Gerald Riggs, Roger Craig, Stephen Davis, Corey Dillon, Lenny Moore, Jim Taylor, Adrian Peterson, etc.

Most NFL backs HOF backs are 5'10"-5'11" and RB's in general. I definitely see the point BBD makes (and it's a legit one). However, bigger backs that have special athletic ability also seem to have tremendous success. The game has also evolved where a RB the size of Henry would be "proportional" to RB sizes in the NFL from the 1990's and below to other respective positions. Meaning, I think RB's in general, will continue to get bigger as long as the speed is there. The common denominator is a low center of gravity, where a lot of bigger guys don't always have.

I just dont like the notion that someone who is not prototypical size will not be as successful as those who are. Prototypical size measurables do not measure ability, talent, intelligence, or work ethic. The 2 best backs last season in the NFL (AP & AF) are not prototypical size nor were the 3 best backs at Bama (EL, TJY, & JF).

Most rushing yards in an NFL season (2105 yards), and fastest to reach 10,000 yards in NFL (91 games)? That would be Eric Dickerson. He played at 6'3" and 220 lbs.

Can't be accurate. He's over 4'6". You're just a hata.
