Toughest game for us next year..

  • According to this board it seems like lsu has been taking a step back since CLM got the job. It hasn't happened yet. A&M to me is a Cinderella. After everything that happened in that game last year we still should have won. People forget that. Lsu will be our toughest game next year. A&m not so much but we will see. Myself I cant wait to see our D make lil johnny wish he was still in the big 12.

  • You're correct on the visitor angle with lsu. I was really making that statement more about atm being helped by being at home, started to leave the lsu part out but I knew someone would wonder where that game was this year. I think lsu loses too much this season, and seems like there might be some chemistry problems down on the bayou? They lose 11 starters, plus both kickers. I look for Mett to regress due to heavy line losses without experienced backups ready to go, they lost both tackles and a highly valued tackle who was hurt last season going pro, Davenport and their center from last season. That's 5 of the top 7 or 8 ol from last season gone. The defensive front seven lost 4 of 7 starters and two of the top backups from last season on the d-line. I just don't see the incoming talent being up to the elite standards that they have been at lsu, jmo though. While your assessment may prove to be correct. I look for a 42-24 type game against atm, and 38-6 type game against lsu.

  • aTm's 2 losses last season were home to UF and home to LSU. Not worried about Kyle Field.

If Ole Miss is our toughest game then Vegas should be offering $0.15 on the dollar for Alabama to win the BCS championship....because Ole Miss just isn't gong to beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

atm....but it will be back to lsu as soon and manziel is gone, make no mistake

This. Give LSU a year to replace all those guys and they will be back.

LSU will be very good running the ball next year.

I think GA will be the toughest game though. Their offense as ours should be hard to stop. Everything ya'll are saying about LSU losing way too much is exactly what was said about us last year.

We didn't have 10 juniors leave early last year. We've never had that.

    @a&m IMO.

That place will be a madhouse. Manziel factor. Early in the year with a rebuilt OL. It will possibly be their biggest home game of all time. Early lead in the West up for grabs in September.

Plus, they'll have swagger after being our only blemish last year

I think we'll win, but we will earn it.

This. A&M will be like USCe, Arky, and LSU from 2010. It will be their game of the century and they will devote much of their off-season to preparing for it. The crowd will be nuts and tix will be at BCS $$ level. And we will have 2 weeks to prepare and listen to the hype.

Couldn't agree more. CLM is goofy and his in game decision making is sometimes hard to comprehend but he can recruit and has stockpiled talent @ LSU. I go into every season assuming they will be our toughest opponent.

  • IMO...I think "The Process" is starting to wear on LSU a bit. The emotional games that we are playing with them will eventually beat down the team that keeps losing. The last two years have been brutal for them.

That being said. I think we will be to jacked up and prepared for aTm to lose that game.

    Toughest game...LSU

I didn't say ole miss would beat us... Actually I don't see anyone beating us.. The question was who might be our toughest game. Look at some things ole miss did last year...yeah the lost to Texas A&M... 30-27 ... Tuff game but gave up the a double digit lead in the 4th quarter...look at the LSU game... Yeah they lost 41-35...close again...and another 4th quarter letdown..

Factor in a heck of a recruiting class..and they have some talent. Again..we win but it might be closer than u think.

I think Bama will be well prepared against Texas A&M this year...we overlooked them...it won't happen again...
And..the ole miss game is next after ATM.

We should go undefeated ...barring the injury bug... And playing once again for the NC.

    RollTideGKT

  • LSU is always a close game I don't think that A&M is going to have the success that they had last year. I really don't think they are going to sneak up on anybody in the sec, I could be wrong but that qb will not have the year he had last yr.

    A&M.
LSU is like an old nagging ex girlfriend that keeps calling and wanting to argue but i'm over her. I've moved on to bigger and better things and her name is A&M.
    Stop calling LSU your irrelevant

How is LSU irrelevant ? We are 2-2 in the last 4 games against them. They beat a&m last year and we didn't . LSU lost a lot and will take a step back in 2013 but they are not irrelevant

No he is not kidding. I would not be shocked if they finished in a tie for second. They were a very good team last year and return everyone while adding some very good talent. They are better than LSU and probably even with TAM.

Pump the brakes guys. They still have to prove they can beat a quality team. What was their best win last season? MSU? Pitt in the bowl game?

Haha. Completely correct. Ole Miss. Yes they played a few teams like LSU "tough" but who cares? Miles totally mismanaged that game plus he is good for one or two of those every season. Vandy beat them in Oxford last year (inviting comments on how awesome Vandy is now).

Obviously you didn't get the joke sweetheart.
To put your worries to rest, Bama's not actually in a love triangle with LSU and A&M either....

All true & I'm a fan of Freeze thus far. But I wouldn't be shocked to see them lose to the Barn or any other average team this year either. They've done well at getting some quality talent. But that often doesn't come together in one season. In a league like the SEC.

Agree. They still have Bo Wallace and Barry Brunetti at QB. We are 50-8 against them all time and I believe they've only defeated us once in Tuscaloosa. Ever.

There were times last year in our game where their D stepped up, but their offense was hapless most of the night. We toyed with them in the 2nd Half. Once it got to 27-7 at halftime we went into "let's just get this over with" mode with our playcalling.

We had the distinction of intercepting Ole Miss twice on the same drive last year (picked them off, fumbled the return, picked them again 2 plays later.) I'm not overly concerned with them.
