Thanks for the post. I was driving through or around Knoxville and sportss talk radio was dominated by this story. I was wondering if there was more to the story than I was aware. It got to the point that I switched to new talk radio (for a short period) and listened to the battle in DC on the debt limit. Finally I turned to music and listened to hillbilly music.
I am so glad that I am back in Memphis while everything "normal".

Folks, trust me when I say this, we are in good hands with Mike Ward in charge of compliance. He's been around the block, and he knows what he's doing. If Mike says there is no evidence of a violation, you can bet your last dollar he has seen nothing the lead him to believe a violation occurred. That's not to say other things couldn't later come out, but this gives you a very good idea of exactly where things stand.

Here's an interesting tidbit for you all.

David Wasson, the former sports editor of the Tuscaloosa News, was hired by Clay Travis' website and I believe was involved in one of the early stories regarding T-Town Menswear. Well, Dave left the site, I believe announcing his departure yesterday.

He just posted on Facebook: "Great to see UA's compliance department on top of mountain-out-of-molehill "SuitGate" situation. Stays in line with what was said all along."

I find it totally sad that compliance is forced to go as far as disassociate someone from the program when there actually was zero wrongdoing. What is NCAA athletics coming to? UA compliance obviously did the right thing I just find it sad that this is the proper response. Thanks NCAA.
