there will be loads of stipulations, the reasons they pull schollies now will be written into the contracts/LOI's so that they can pull them in the future eg. a kid breaks team rules x number of times, he loses his scholarship. no real change. i think this is CNS closing the door on the Aubs (and others) using this against us in recruiting.

I am just curious to how the kids who want to transfer are going to get out of a 4 year contract. I know the school can release them but seems the school has more leverage now.

This is much to do about nothing. The Barn simply did this as a PR move. The intent of a scholarship offer is that a player will be around for his entire 4 years even though renewable. Nothing changes in my mind I still expect a player to be on the roster 4yrs when he signs a LOI. But what happens if you sign a guy and he has no academic or behavior issues just refuses to put forth any real effort at all? Or a guy decides to declare for the draft after 3yrs? Does he have to stay? It’s all just a bunch of BS propaganda!

We can all probably name a couple of players...very highly rated recruits...who have been here for three or four years, who have never played a meaningful snap and probably never will, and they seem to be quite content. So this announcement doesn't change the status quo at all.
