Update on what OSU needs if we're #2 in Wolfe (links inside)

The computer polls need newer formulas when texas is at 7-4 at the time and is in the top 25. They lose all credibility. I bet any football fan with any common sense would laugh at that unless they were complete homers.

I think the crazy thing is that OU is still #6 in Sagarin's poll. #6 with 3 losses and the latest being a complete blowout!!!! I am happy to have Bama #2, but this poll has to be screwed up somehow. What could be in the computer algorithms to justify OU at #6???

Just remember that there are two computer polls that nobody has the formula to. Why u ask? Because they have never released the formula of those two. They've released the formula of all the others, just not those two. No clue why that is. No reason to think that we move up in any computer points and okst losses any. Whoever posted that earlier is truly misinformed. We didn't play, they did against a top ten and. My lord it's gonna be close. Rmft!!

32 points is very solid. We only need a 17 point edge to be on pace (given the computer situation). I'll crunch the Harris #s in a moment, but right now we are the prohibitive favorite.

Yes, that was under the assumption that we didn't finish #2 in any of the computers, which we now know is false (we finished #2 in at least 2 of them). Those computers have come through for us in this case.

I think that's a little presumptuous to be honest. If you read that sheet, it includes MAS which is Massey margin of victory (MOV). If you follow this link, which is still not updated, he explicitly states that MOV isn't included in BCS methodology.

The AP poll is bullshit. The Harris won't be nearly as reactionary. Not only that, OSU was #3 in the AP already, so it was just one spot. They need to flat-out WIN the human polls and if they couldn't even get the AP on their side there's virtually no way they will.
