Was just over on the ND site.......

The question was asked "Do you think it'll be a ND dominated crowd??" The answer from one of their staff was....."There were easily a dozen hats, shirts, etc representing the Irish on the Houston flight. No Bama apparel in sight..." Do they really think it will be pro ND crowd!?!? I don't, I will be suprised if they get 30% of the stadium. How does it look in Miami? (from someone there of course) RTR!!!

I'm telling you guys there are 2 classes of ND fans and the ones that didn't go to school there don't go to the games. Some do of course but nothing like ours. We are all one big fan base. You don't have to be alums to be a part of our traveling fandom. Some of the biggest fans I know went to UAH. Its different with those arrogant pricks.

Its been awhile since they've been to the big dance. We have been there three of last four years, tix are huge $ for the average fan. Plus we will be back way before they will IMO.

I read where Notre Dame had over 100,000 ticket requests compared to 40,000 for Bama for the game. Stadium only holds 75,000 or so. Will be more Irish fans.

And ND charged $25 just to request tickets and get on the list.
That's $2.5M revenue without selling a ticket.

It's going to be close to the same as last year. Probably about 55-60% Irish, but not enough of a difference to really matter.
Probably a lot more ND fans making the trip without tickets as well just to be in Miami.

Been down in the south beach area the last 5 days; Alot more ND fans in this area.

They have a huge fan base and this is their first significant game in a few decades. A lot of Bama fans have been to the championship the past few years and don't have the burning desire or the money to make the trip. That's not to say our fans don't want it, it's just not as special to is as it would be them as we have had success in bunches and this is their first opportunity to be excited in a while.

I would think we would have a lot more alumni. They are actually a small private school of only 8400 undergraduates.
