Watching 08 Bama v. Clemson game

This is where it all began guys. We were a .500 team the year before and this game told us a ton.
First offensive series had two passes completed to rbs and the rest smashmouth running.
We weren't that good overall, but our run blocking was amazing and it hid a ton of weaknesses.

Yep. Had some head hunters on special teams too in that game...I remember Cody, they had no answer for him and he just mauled their middle three all night long.

Oddly enough, r. johnson should have picked the first play.

Second half KO return was their only highlight of the night IMO...want to be impressed with speed, check the time off the clock after the TD. I honestly thought they forgot to start it when I watched the replay.

1st quarter over, bama held the ball for more than 10:00 minutes.
Commentator said bama wasn't on the level of the floridas, georgias, lsus.........and auburns

Coincidentally, there was a cut in that showed utah upsetting michigan.

Clemson entered the game and their amazing speed was the focus. By the end, their lack of size was the focus. 200 lb linebackers? Lol.

I was at that game and he was even faster in person. In fact he was so fast that I felt more priviliged to have seen his speed than I was upset at the TD!!

I was sitting in the lower bowl in the endzone he ran too...my jaw dropped...I've been around a lot a great athletes and speed, but that one impressed me.

Davis and spiller were called the best rb tandem in the nation. It's halftime and they combine for 7 yds.
There have been at least 6 clemson players injured. The dismantling is methodical.
Herbie is the first to say that it isnt just clemson choking, this bama team is legit!!!

Andre smith gets a small injury and goes out.......running game dies.
We werent much without that kid. He was our offense and he masked our defense.
Anybody with a brain would've seen that we had no chance against utah without andre.
