Way too early- Class of 2015 Potential #1 Player

  • I'm a track junkie and a RB junkie that likes to find the future RB talents before they become well-known.

With that said....attached is a video of 2015 Prospect, Bryce Love. This film is against Jr Varsity this past 2011 season.....but be on the lookout for this kid in the future. Love is out of Raleigh, North Carolina and ran for the same track club, Carolina Elite, as Keith Marshall.

Love has several Age-Group Track World Records in the 100m, 200m, and 400m dash. I predict he will be the #1 prospect in the Class of 2015. He is already a legit 4.3x guy.

As big of a Tyren Jones fan as I am.......I like Bryce Love just as much. Future BEAST! Love has Bo Jackson/Adrian Peterson type FREAK-ness.

Good stuff man. What do you project to be his size by the time he's a junior? His speed/quickness/vision may get him into the top 15-20, but he'll need the prototype RB size (5'11 - 200lbs), IMO, to be considered for the #1 slot. Hopefully he won't hit a 5-7 inch growth spurt like Anthony Davis did :)

Edit: I just watched the video.........that has to be junior varsity competition!! holy cow, haha. Those guys are tiny. For what it's worth though, he does have "effortless" speed, which is a great sign of balance/agility.

He's class of 2015 and those are 2011 highlights so I believe he is a freshman.

Kid is fast. and seemed to not shy away from contact... but he seemed to hold on to the ball to loosely. will need to keep it high and tight at the next level. IMO

  • I love this kid as well...and have heard is he is very good football player. BUT,the track coach in me honestly hopes that I don't see him anywhere near a college football field! This kid has the potential to be for USA Track & Field what Usain Bolt is for Jamaica. He is already like a cult figure in youth track and field circles. And for those of you that think I might be exaggerating, you just need to go and research his times. He holds age group WORLD RECORDS in the 100M, 200M and 400M. There is not a faster freshman in the country....period. Just some of this times from just this past summer season as a 14 year old...he won't actually turn 15 until July even though he is a freshman in highschool.

    200M - 21.81
    400M - 48.27

His speed is wicked. I've followed him for the last 3 years (since 2009) and I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it. The closest thing I can recall is J-Mee Samuels, another North Carolina kid that I first saw when he was about 10 years old back in 1997. J-Mee actually had the High School National Record in the 100m that he set in 2005 in 10.08 (age age 18). It was eventually broken by Jeff Demps in 2008 in a time of 10.01.

I reviewed the film again and a couple of those games were against Varsity as he played 4 Varsity Games this past season. In those games he had 14 carries for 177 yards and 3 TDs, so 12.64 yards per carry.

In terms of the Bo Jackson, Adrian Peterson comparison.....I really believe that. I've seen the kid run track in person and it is absolutely absurd how bad be beats the 2nd place competitor....even in National Final events. 5'9", 165-170 pounds for a 14 year old is very good size. Hard to predict his height but he should be a beast in 3-4 years.

Kid ran 4.3x last May 2011..........

I'll get to watch him run in several meets this summer.......Wouldn't be surprised if he wins North Carolina 4A (largest class) State Championships this year in the 100m, 200m, and 400m races as a 14 year old 9th grader.

  • Kid that finished in 2nd place in this video actually won the 400m National Championship later on during the Summer of 2011 as Love injured his hip and his dad only allowed him to run in the Finals of the 200m and scratched him from the 100m and 400m Finals.

Notice how bad Love beats the National Champ.

***Fast forward to 2:45 as the race begins at about 2:49 mark****

Hard to project his size by that time. If I had to guess, I'd say 6'0", 205-210 based on his current size and the size of his older brother. Optimal size for a RB is actually 5'9", 205-215. So hopefully he doesn't get too tall.

I played against Fred Beasley way back in 1990 when I was in 9th grade and Fred was in the 8th. I mention Beasley because he was an Alabama phenom in the early 1990s as he was a Parade All-American and led Robert E Lee to State Championships in 1991 & 1992. Actually, Fred was 1 month older than me and should have been a 9th grader at the time. Fred was about 5'9", 165....about the same size as Bryce at that time. Beasley was a power back and was not nearly as fast as Love. Beasley was about 6'0", 215 as a freshmen in college.

Kids can grow alot between 14 and 18. I remember watching Tim Castille as a ninth grader and he was around 180. When he came out as a Senior he was 210 or so.

Cali and DeAnthony had the "Black Mamba" this kid could be deemed the "Black Racer".

    LOL....I like.

Just a couple quick points on Bryce that I've found out this afternoon:

-He was a young 9th grader this season having turned 14 during the Summer. Hence, "probably" why his dad wanted him to play Jr. Varsity this season
-He did play in 4 Varsity Games this season and had 14 carries for 177 yards (12.6 yards per carry) with 3 TDs in those games
-His Junior Varsity team played ONLY 6 games and went 6-0. They had 1 close game, a 50-48 win. All the other games were major blowouts (ie. 56-16, 36-8, 42-6, etc)
-In 6 games Bryce had over 1,500 yards rushing. So he averaged more than 250 yards per game rushing. I know it's Junior Varsity but he basically averaged 200 yards rushing by halftime.
-The Wake Forest-Rolesville Varsity went 11-3 and from what I've gathered today, many fans were "upset" that Bryce didn't play with the Varsity all season as I've heard that he was dominant in his brief chances on the varsity this season.

***I honestly think this kid could end up being 1 of if not the greatest athletes ever. I know a lot of "billing" but this kid is the fastest person EVER at his age and he is strong and will probably be 6'0", 200-205 by his 12th grade year (based on his dad's and older brother's size)

I could be wrong but I started a similar thread on BOL in December of 2010 about Robert Nkemdiche and only 3-4 people paid it any mind and replied to the thread.

Jabrill Peppers...More I watch, the more I'm convinced he is the best player in the 2014 class. Barring injury, he will do special things.
