We have been manhandled on both lines

  • LSU dominated the point of attack both ways. You don't win when you can't control the point of attack

  • LSU's offensive line has dominated because our D has been on the field too much. We have averaged 6.6 yard per carry running the ball. Our offensive line has held up well. The difference in the game is their QB has converted 3rd downs and our QB has had the worst game of his career. Hopefully he can close out strong and still win the game.

  • This is just not true irrational fan BS. Our Oline played great.

  • Our O-line did a excellent job in the run and in the pass. Looked like our recievers were having trouble getting space between them and the DB's. LSU had a great game plan and our defense was obviousily tired.

  • Still not sure why Cooper wasn't more involved tonite except for his injury?

Did we ever find out what happened to him?

Vince Lombardi was asked how it felt to have the best football team in the world. He replied, I don't know. We haven't played Alabama yet.

  • We had a terrible second half, but I don't get how you think our O-Line was dominated.

Just not true no matter how you look at it.

I was wondering the same thing.

Never really saw him again after AJ missed him on the wide-open pass.

  • Our oline was killing lsu but we wouldn't call running plays in the second half. If we would have, I'm of the opinion the game would have gone a little different. Not only would we have moved the ball better, put us in better shape on third downs, and score more points, but we also would have allowed our D to rest.

except for tonight...good post....wait till the game is over though.

  • Almost 7 yards per carry and held Montgomery and Mingo in check. O-line played great!

    foteen

  • Oline was great in run and pass. Any shortcomings in execution was not by oline. Defense as a whole was not up to par, Landry killed them on 3rd down

This, we commit to the run and this game is over by the start of the 4th q. The O-line played really well.

  • O-Line played really well against a very good D-Line I thought. Our D-Line did not dominate and at times was outplayed. We just couldn't get to the qb on third down. I wouldn't say dominated though. We still got big stops when we needed them. We were playing LSU at home, we should expect tough line play.

  • You fair weather fan. Get out of here with this noise. We beat the #5 team in the nation at home. RTR! Bama 21 LSU 17. Dumb arse.

  • I may get down voted, but our D-line didn't get dominated either. We didn't tackle as well tonight as we normally do. Numerous times we would hit the LSU back in the backfield or at the line of scimmage and they would make 3 yards or more after contact. Instead of having 2nd and 9-11 yards to go, LSU consistently had 2nd and 7 or less. Which led to 3rd and less than 6 yards. That in turn, made us leave Nick Perry, Sunseri, and Nico in on 3rd down plays. We had to be able to play run or pass on 3rd downs. LSU took advantage by getting wide receivers on Perry and Sunseri and backs or tight ends on Nico. Not great match-ups for us.

-line gave good running lanes and gave AJ good protection, but as has been mentioned, AJ was way off for 3 .80 qtrs. and we called passing plays when the run was working. Sometimes coaches out smart themselves as our OC did tonight on several occasions IMO.

You are right on from what I saw. Thanks for sharing.
