I think there is a range of numbers that beating *U by will do both things.
1) Keep any jealous pollsters from trying to deflate our ranking to keep us out of the BCS hunt
2) Give them enough confidence in Gene to keep him around for at least one more year.
What do you think that magic number is? 18-24 pts?
