What these young men did was terrible

The Mamabear would want to go out and make them pay dearly for what they did, however, I would not do that.

If this happened and the boys that did were basically good kids that had not been in trouble and were remorseful I would not want them to go to prison. If there was a chance that they could get their lives on track, I would rather have 4 young men on the right track rather than going into prison and getting on the wrong track.

BTW,I support crimianls going to prison who really reserve it. I have been the victim of a violet crime, the most violent crime against women that there is, and the guy had been convicted of the same crime 10 years before and was paroled 1 week before he attacked me. I testified and wanted him sentenced to life. So I am no softy on crimials, but just see this situation differently.

I don't think Eddie Williams deserves a second chance since he knocked out a second victim. He made no mistake. I'm not sure on the others but to beat someone unconscious 3 to 1 isn't a mistake in my opinion that deserves to be dealt with sans prison time.

  • So basically you are saying everyone should be given one felony crime to commit and not do any jail time? This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

Can you elaborate on how the situations are different? Why does yor attacker deserve 40 years and you wanted him to get life, but these attackers deserve no jail time? Both were violent crimes and both are felonies. Also, you mentioned giving them a 2nd chance. It's now being mentioned that Eddie Williams may have committed this act while in high school. If true, this would be at least the 3rd time he's comitted this crime. He isn't a boy, he's a legal adult, does he deserve a 4th chance with no jail time?

Yes. He was a repeat offender and was out of prison one week on parole. Already stated this twice, you would have known that if you had taken the time the read the posts rather than just jump on the bandwagon.

Oh yea, I might want to mention the 7" blade on the hunting knife he used and the 3 operations that I had to have after the attack.

I said if they were first time offenders, I would like to go easy on them
I admitted I wasn't sure if any of them had s prior record.

Do you really want to be the guy who equalates rape to robbery?

Do you realize being hit so hard that you're knocked unconscious, it's very possible the student could have died from head trauma? It's pathetic for you to only refer to the incident as a "robbery". I bet when the kid finally woke up in a pool of his own blood, he felt he had been more than robbed.

I didn't equate rape to robbery. It wasn't just a robbery, it was a violent attack and a robbery. I was equating both events being violent attacks and both being felonies. If you had read my comments more clearly you would have understood that. Point is, if your attacker deserved 40 years (which I agree he did), then EWs attack was violent enough to deserve jail time of some sort. Jail time to the extent of a rapist? No. But to say he deserves no jail time is ridiculous.
